The Jetour RHD export process, step by step

From your first message to the port of discharge, one sales manager follows your order. Here is exactly what happens, what you need to send, and what you receive at each step.

1. What happens after I send an inquiry?

A sales manager replies within 24 hours by WhatsApp or email. We confirm which Jetour models, engines, trims and colors are available in right-hand drive for your destination and ask the questions needed to quote correctly: quantity, destination port, FOB or CIF, and your timeline.

2. How is the price quoted — FOB or CIF?

We quote on the Incoterms rule you prefer. FOB (Free On Board) covers the vehicle cleared for export and loaded on the vessel at the Chinese port; you arrange ocean freight. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) adds sea freight and marine insurance to your destination port. Both are defined in the ICC Incoterms® 2020 rules.

3. When do I receive a proforma invoice?

Once you agree the quotation, we issue a proforma invoice (PI) showing the exact model, engine, trim, steering, color, quantity, price, Incoterm, payment terms and expected shipment window. Check it carefully — the PI is the specification we deliver against.

4. How quickly are vehicles shipped?

In-stock vehicles can be shipped within 10 working days after payment. Specific trims or colors that must be sourced take longer; our sales team confirms the timeline before you pay.

5. How are the vehicles inspected?

Before loading, vehicles are checked against the PI. At each milestone you receive a photo or video confirming the status of your vehicles. If your market, your bank or your customer requires a third-party pre-shipment inspection, tell us at the quotation stage and we will coordinate it.

6. Ro-Ro or container — which shipping method?

  • Ro-Ro (roll-on/roll-off): vehicles are driven onto a specialized car carrier. Common for larger quantities to main ports such as Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and Durban.
  • Container (20GP / 40HQ): vehicles are secured inside containers. Useful for small orders, island destinations, mixed loads with parts or accessories, and ports with limited Ro-Ro service.

Mixed-model orders are accepted; we help optimize container loading to save on shipping costs. Shipping fee and delivery date are negotiated for each order.

7. Which documents do I receive?

We provide the export documents your clearing agent needs. These typically include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, plus any additional documents your agent requests for your market. Ask your agent for the list before you order so we can prepare everything together.

8. What happens after delivery?

Your sales manager stays your contact after the vehicles arrive — for questions about documents, the vehicles and repeat orders.

FAQ

What is the minimum order?

One unit. Trial orders and small quantities are welcome, especially for new partners.

Can I mix models in one shipment?

Yes. Mixed-model orders are accepted, and we plan container loading to keep the cost per vehicle down.

Do you arrange inland transport after the port?

Inland transport and import clearance at destination are arranged by your clearing or transit agent. We prepare documents to match their requirements.
